Reto (aka retow) has chosen the new theme for the next Challenge.

I thought of "food photography", which is quite popular in some parts of the world. So the theme I suggest is "Macro or Close Up Food Photos" (including drinks).

    Should be interesting.

A plea to all members to please reduce the amount of "chat" posts in the WC. If you really like an image consider using the Thanks button rather than posting a comment. Last week's challenge ran to 9 pages with several peripheral conversations. This makes it difficult for voters and others to quickly peruse the entries. Thanks in advance for your cooperation. :th_salute:

Here's a recent one I took to celebrate the end of the SIJ, just to kick this challenge off. Cheers to all who enter.

Not really a macro, but hopefully close enough (at least for a cell phone cam, it is):

    Cuminilicious

Key ingredients used in Indian cooking - freshly roasted cumin seeds, fresh coconut flakes and red chilli pods. These would be ground and added to soups.

I can smell the beef stew in the slow cooker now. I have my ingredients shot, but I have another 4-5 hours before I get the finished shot.

I'm not sure I'll have time to set up a proper shot AND get it loaded, so here's one from this morning while I was browning the meat before putting it into the slow cooker.
