Thom Hogan has published a quick summary of his take on the X100. 'Mixed feelings' sums it up.

In the same post he gives the EX1/TL500 a good report.

As you say "A quick summary" The pieces by Michael Reichmann at Luminous Landscape, give a longer more balanced (but not uncritical) account.

I just don't get his "sum ups". Most people have praised the GH2 and he seems not to like it. He also seems pretty mixed on the X100 too. Maybe he's the real traditional type that doesn't care to go outside the box a little. I dont know.

Actually, he tends to harp on the camera companies quite often for not innovating enough.

My read on his GH2 comment was that it isn't really all that much better than the GH1 ('cept for AF - he ammended his first analysis) and it's hard to find. Therefore, why not just buy a GH1 instead he says.

Again, sounds to me like more a review/commentary on the company than the camera itself. Just because the camera is hard to find doesn't mean it is a bad camera.

It is. He does analyze companies and what they are up to (mostly Nikon).
