my 2¢, get the Really Right Stuff grip. i have it and its excellent, well made, fits great, creates just the right feel, at least for me.

Thanks for the advice Tony. Unfortunately the cost of shipping and taxes makes RRS prohibitively expensive in the UK; hence the search for a used one. Have bought a grip/L plate on ebay for less than a quarter of the cost of an imported RRS grip. Still if anyone has a cheap RRS one for sale....
