For me, it seems a bit faster and more reliable. Would often only get a half page which I had put down to my own net connection. Seems that wasnt it. All good, so far.

The switch happened when I was deep in day job stuff, so coming back to read updates that I missed, feels just like the old site which ran perfectly fine for me.

Everything working well, and I've visited since the change on an Android tablet, and a couple of windows 10 machines. Looks good.

No newspapers in Milwaukee, Luke? :) BTW, a close friend of mine just became the assistant News director at channel 58, the CBS affiliate in town. I'm sure he'll take care if your news media needs. :2thumbs:

I think they still print a physical newspaper, but I never see them anymore. And despite how small Milwaukee is, we were a two newspaper town when I was growing up. We had one in the morning and one in the evening. They merged in the 80s. (I bought the remainder of the record collection of a former record reviewer a couple months back. He's a pretty nice guy, but as one might guess, he had a strong opinion about what records were good and which ones weren't......LOL.)

I kinda meant it more in in vague terms. I enjoy something between the 15 second spots on a nightly newscast and a deep investigative 8 page magazine article on a news topic. I was very good at grazing newspapers for the parts I wanted. I have yet to figure out how to navigate ANY "newspaper" website n the same way (and don't even get me started on reading on a laptop (or a 'pad' that I don't have) versus a physical newspaper that can be folded and unfolded while I sip my morning coffee.

I'll try to peek in on channel 58 and see if your friend has taken CBS58 into any bold new directions.

I hear you. One must really already know what one is looking for in order to find almost anything on most newspaper web sites. The New York Times is an exception in that one can select an option that allows pages to be viewed as they are seen in the print edition. But, despite being a lifelong broadcaster, I enjoy holding an actual newsaper just as I prefer to own physical CDs and LPs rather than download music.

Oh, BTW, just so we don't hijack the thread entirely, the new server seems to be working fine.
