Welcome to this week's competition. A reminder of the rules:

Each member gets one guess. The answer will be revealed on the following Tuesday. The first correct guess has the honour of submitting the image for the next challenge. Sometimes there will be more than one thing in the photo or more than one way to accurately describe what the photo represents. The original poster will be the final judge of who is "most correct".

    What have we here ?

I thought I'd made this one too easy, but it seems maybe not.

    Ready for clues yet ?

I'm going with a flat round piece of rubber used to enhance one's grip to aid in opening a jar

Some good suggestions, but there's room for improvement.

One more day to go ...

Now it can be told - what you've been looking at is part of an exercise ball. My girlfriend uses it for her Pilates / stretching exercises.

It's more clear in this next picture. Changing the picture to B&W gave the surface the appearance of ceramic or stone which led some of you astray I think.

The winner is Karen, who said it was a "ball". Can't argue with that.

  20. It was another of those optical illusions where the ribs sticking up looked like indents instead!! Not that it would have made a difference in my guess though.
