I have been through many systems and makes of camera over the years in the quest for the perfect photographic companion. I think I am nearly there now with the E-M10 but I still hanker after some elements of previous kit that I decided to sell. For example:
Pentax Q - delightful to use and admire the engineering
    Sigma DP2M - sheer resolution
Canon G12 - built like a tank and great all rounder

What are the cameras that folks here kind of wish they still owned?

My Contax G system. Given how little use my film gear is getting these days it would probably be sitting in my cupboard gathering dust, but what a lovely system it was.

i am selling my hasselblad xpan kit and my kodak retina reflex kit because film is just too much of a pain for me. but boy i love both and will miss 'em big time.

re digital, i rectified my selling mistakes by reaquiring both the x100 and x10. won't be selling those again!

Yeah, that's pretty much me too. I bought and sold a couple of RX1s, LX5s, and I think Ricoh GXRs, and too many m43 and Fuji lenses to remember. But there's nothing I've sold and don't have now that I wished I still had. The RX1 comes closest but I sold it because it wasn't getting used and if I still had it, it still wouldn't be getting used, so better it found a home with someone who's using it, or who's passed it on again to someone who will...

I regret not having some systems more than having sold systems.

HA! I have to laugh at the previous comments because so true. Yesterday I just bought my third Leica X2 after a run of Canon DSLRs. The one I do regret is my Leica M9/50lux

RX1, I bought a newer one, open box so feel I got a good deal as it will hopefully last a while. I have a hankering for my x Pro 1 but keep reminding myself that I'd need to buy a diopter and that focus is slow!

I never had very many and to-date I have never sold a camera yet have somehow passed them on or otherwise disposed of them, but I can’t remember exactly who or how.. Looking back through old photos the one camera that stands out for me is the Halina Paulette Electric. (A close relative would be the Olympus Trip which I bought recently). The Halina photos can be tweaked very nicely in PP which of course wasn’t available to me before and it makes me think that these old cameras deserve a new level of respect.

Like others I have repurchased the gear I have missed, some multiple times. The one piece I sold and miss at times is the Sigma DP3M. Haven't quite felt the need to buy it again, but that could change. ;)

I sometimes miss my Pentax K1000 with the 50mm f/1.4 SMC lens - it was such a straightforward way of shooting, and it produced great results that rivaled what I could do with my somewhat more upmarket Nikon gear. However, I got myself a Nikon FM3A out of nostalgia - and find it a fantastic camera to work with. But I tend to baby it a bit - a thought that never crossed my mind with the K1000 ...

Interestingly, I've never actually sold a digital camera - those I don't use anymore are stored; at the time I could have sold them, they didn't seem to have any market value left.

Sony A7. Stupidly sold it and the 35mm f2.8 Zeiss lens but now have re acquired them again. Funny thing is that the lens I bought (used) is the actual same one I sold on another forum and I bought it not from the guy I sold it too! I'm real happy about this as that lens is superb even wide open.

    Happy days!!

I realllllly wish I had the money to take it off you... even if film is unpractical and just nowhere near as versatile as digital, I just love the concept of that camera and would love to have one to play with...

I've seen way too many people regret selling their x100 to even consider selling mine - unless it would be to buy a newer version!

I think I am on my fourth X100 now. Don't plan to sell it again, which may be easier now because it is worth so little. I did upgrade to the T, and it is a great camera. But the X100 files have that "look", which I really hate to say, so I kept it and sold the X100T.
