Thanks, Andrew! I love the Nikon1 stuff, I'd love to have the cash flow to have all the lenses, but one makes do, and I have found that even the basic kit lenses are pretty damned good. I do want to get the J5, but to be honest, I dont find too many difficulties with the Aptina Sensor, maybe thats to do with what I photograph, I dont demand too much of it. A little J5, though, would be amazing. A tilty screen yay.

Here's an enlargement showing about 1/4 of the original image. Taken with a J5 and 6.7-13mm. The J5 is now dirt cheap on Ebay. glad_up_close.

Gawd. What do you call dirt cheap??? IN Aussie Dollars (and for whats available to us) nothing under $450, going up to $900

    Nice shot, BTW :)

Sorry Sue. I just looked and there are many J5 with kit lens in the 300-400 range USD.

I can get a body for $498, as a refurb. Think I'll just stick with my existing gear and maybe concentrate on getting that 32mm prime

Yeah, which is why I have never put mine up for sale, they arent worth a penny to a pinch of snot, fortunately I still like them. The J1 and 10mm + 10-30 is the kit I bought initially, for $350 or so. It was a half price clearance thing.

V3 for AU $325 is quite a deal.

I've often been tempted by that. I recommended it to a friend who wanted weather proofing and she and her hubby are currently travelling round Australia in a caravan and using it to shoot their travels. They love it. Great for all weather.

I've always wondered if Nikon had switched to the Sony sensor from the RX100 if the Nikon 1 system would have done better.

Yes it wasn't until he latest J5 that they finally went to the 20mp sensor. It's a shame, if the V2 had come out at a reasonable price and with the 20mp sensor it might have been a big hit. AF on the Nikon 1 is still better than most (all) other mirrorless options.
