We had a vintage themed garden party yesterday, dull & overcast but at least it was dry and we had a good turnout. Here are a few images taken with the X100 and converted in SFX

People definitely used to dress better back then, didn't they.

    For sure!!

I guess you don't like the fashion today -- super tight skinny jeans or the super baggy jeans that's almost falling off? :)

    Fun filled

Thanks all for the comments and despite the weather not being warm and bright, the X100 delivered the goods!

The shot below is of me (on left), daughter, wife and the Vicar (genuine man of the cloth).

It was a fun filled day with great people - a good time had by one and all.

Ian, I think the lighting worked in your favor - no harsh shadows to deal with. Great set of images!

    Hi Chuck,

You are right, much prefer even lighting as we had rather than harsh contrasty light with shadows.

Thank you all for the feedback.

I am finding I am turning to the X100 to shoot images I previously used the D700 for, it is a superb camera and these images once served to remind me how versatile this camera is and since the latest firmware update (1.21) I no longer worry about the AF performing as I want it to.

The more I use this camera the more inclined I am to let the D700 kit go and opt for the XPro-1 but still waiting for price to come down (I did see body only for £1229.00 in UK recently so things are starting to move).
