X30 in action

    I've had the X30 out and about numerous times this week, including the hike shown above. It really is a decent little camera - I just think the price point is a bit high. It's now packed up for its return to the rental place, but here are a few from the past few days to celebrate my brief time with the camera:

    Did you need to do any work on the picture of the river and woods? That's a tricky range of exposure to capture and the X30 has apparently done a good job. Nice Fuji colours too.

    That photo came from the RAW file. In the camera's jpg file, the trees and hillside on the left were almost pitch black. I tweaked the contrast slightly, but that photo represents the actual scene fairly well. As you said, a very wide dynamic range. Fuji does indeed do colors well!
