Oh boy ... there goes Rico again. I just played with a Panasonic LF1 today, and was thinking about picking it up ... Now I better wait until the XQ1 is out first.

    It's basically a pocketable X-E2.

I did not need to know that!

Does it have all the good stuff like pro-low light and pro-focus modes?

I bought a XA-1 today. Rico, you can tell Fuji that you got them a sale!!

Is there any reason why the XF1 keeps the shutter speed super low using aperture priority and auto-ISO? At full zoom, the camera will choose ISO 800, giving me 1/8 shutter speed. Is it just an effort to keep the ISO as low as possible? I'd much rather go to ISO 1600 or 3200 and get more noise, instead of motion blur. I suppose I should switch to manual ISO control.

Any min shutter speed settings for the auto-ISO in the XQ1?

    Thanks!

XQ1 minimum settings are exactly like in the new X-E2.

    That's awesome! Much better!!

Have there been any thoughts at Fuji of also implementing an auto ISO control similar to Pentax, which utilizes the 1/35mm EFL rule as the standard auto ISO logic, and then also provides a fast and a slow logic. I think the fast was something like 1/(2)(EFL). And slow was 1/(0.5)(EFL).

Thanks again for the info Rico.

Yeah, I suggested this as an option, but Fuji wanted to keep it simple, methinks.

you should be able to figure it out...
Really? What size is the sensor? I thought it was more like a more pocketable X20 with the 2/3" sensor...

Anyway, it was raining, today, so I took some pics in very dull light a local market an added them to the sample images set.

It combines X-E2 features with X20 features.

Of course not, not even a flash shoe, it's a camera for the shirt pocket. It's a bit of a successor to the popular F200EXR.

The interesting part is that firmware- and performance-wise, it is very similar to the new X-E2.

    Well,
    The diminutive LF1 does have a viewfinder....
    (Size comparison) -> http://camerasize.com/compare/#456,492

Perhaps the XQ2 (or whatever) will have one

Edit: BTW, I don't know if the title of this thread is homage or a rub...

My XA, Rollei 35, Mju-II, Pentax 110, Contax T2 and a host of others all managed to be shirt-pocketable with a viewfinder. In fact, my Minox B... ;)

...and in sensor terms it is most similar to the X20. In all seriousness I think it is misleading to keep referring to it as "...similar to the new X-E2" when by most reasonable measures it isn't, and that isn't a parallel drawn by Fuji themselves in their own marketing literature.
