Ricoh zone focusing with GRD4 vs 5

Because of it's smaller sensor and shorter focal length would the GRD4 be better at zone focusing and having more in focus (DoF) compared to the GRD5? 5.6mm (GRD4) vs 19mm (GRD5) (equivalent to 28mm in full frame terms)

BTW, I'm really loving the GRD4 and find it a blast to use.

Yes, the smaller sensor GRD models have far more DOF than the larger sensor GR, so it's theoretically easier to zone focus with it. But it's not like its HARD to zone focus with the GR or other APS based cameras, particularly at such a wide focal length. Lots of people were zone focussing with "full frame" film way back when - the technique was invented with film cameras with far less DOF than a GR. So, yeah, easier with a GRD4, but plenty easy enough with the GR, where the higher sensitivity if the sensor makes it easier to shoot at a smaller aperture for any given light level. In really low light, I'd find it easier to zone focus with the GR or equivalent.
